Low back pain or lumbago is pain in the bottom of the spinal column. Low back pain is not a disease itself, but a problem or a symptom which can have multiple causes. It may manifest due to bad posture, psychological factors, or degenerative diseases (such as osteoarthritis and osteoporosis). Lumbago treatment involves the administration of analgesics, muscle relaxants, and applying heat to the painful area. Rest is also recommended.
